Backgrounds for Portraits

Hi guys! How’s everything going on your side of the world?

I thought I would make a post this Wednesday to show you how easy it is to find different backgrounds for a portrait shoot. Below are 4 sets of photos I took in the same day, in less than an hour, with the same model and in the same neighborhood.

Model: Romina from blaastyle.com
You can see photos of this day that she used for one of her posts here.

The trick is not being afraid of experimenting to take photos here and there. Just walk around and take pictures every time you see a background that could work well for what you have in mind.

And if you end up with 100 pictures it’s fine, because in the end you will only choose a dozen anyway and those will be your best shots!😉

    1. Thanks Jule!
We took these photos on a Friday late afternoon and at that time there weren’t too many people in the street in that particular neighborhood. But I also noticed that people try to avoid being on the shot when they see I’m taking pictures😉

  1. These are lovely. It’s really interesting seeing the different backgrounds. I think my favourite background is the steps because they provide some background interest without distracting from the subject. Thanks for sharing!

I really like the stairs background as well, I think it gives a different perspective that we don’t usually see in portraits.
